Stakeholders Meeting in Bwari Area Council on Engagement with the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) for Sexual and Gender-Based Violence Reporting and Response

As part of our efforts to contribute to improving access to justice for women and girls in Nigeria and in particular victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence, we organized this one-day Stakeholders Meeting on Dec. 15th 2020, on rallying critical stakeholders in Bwari Area Council, FCT for engagement with the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) for sexual and gender-based violence reporting and response.

 

In partnership with the FCT Sexual and Gender-Based Violence Response Team (FCT SGBVRT) and with generous support from the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption (ROLAC) Programme funded by the European Union and implemented by the British Council the stakeholders meeting brought together Medical Practitioners, Women Ward Leaders, Traditional and Religious Leaders, Chairpersons of GBV Community Surveillance Teams, Social Workers, the Police, National Orientation Agency, National Union of Teachers, Community Based Organizations and other distinguished and eminent personalities.
